Worldscope Widgets 1.07a's Description
Worldscope Widgets is a cool new app that brings thousands of
always current images of landscapes, cities and other beautiful places
from all around the world right to your homescreen background.
Choose from more than 16000 still webcam images and let your homescreen refresh automatically in the background, or refresh it manually whenever you like.
This app can be used alone, but you will get much more search possibilities and other options by downloading our Worldscope Webcams (also free)
TO USE: Home->Menu->Wallpaper->Worldscope Widgets
Explanation of the various permissions used by Worldscope Widgets and why they are needed:
Permission: NETWORK COMMUNICATION/FULL INTERNET ACCESS
Purpose: to get webcam information and current images, as well as to serve ads
Permission: NETWORK COMMUNICATION/VIEW NETWORK STATE
Purpose: to check if the device is connected to Wifi in order to perform network operations and skip them if disconnected
Permission: SYSTEM TOOLS/SET WALLPAPER
Purpose: to set webcam image as homescreen wallpaper
Permission: SYSTEM TOOLS/AUTOMATICALLY START AT BOOT
Purpose: starts the alarm timer that performs recurring wallpaper or favorite widget refresh functions. No processing intensive tasks are performed at this time.
